One Brayant park or the Bank of America towers is 1200feet,is one of the sky scrapers in Midtown Manhatten in the district of New York in the United States.It is a 1 billion project and one of the sky scrapers in NY.It is located in sixth avenue between 42 and 43 steets opposite to the Brayant park.It is the second tallest building after TheEmpire State Building which is 102 floors in NY,and the fourth tallest in United States.It is one of the most efficient and very eco friendly bulding.it was designed in 2006 by the cook fox architects.The construction of the building was completed in 2009.The building is 55 stories and reached its maximum height in 15 dec 2007.
The design of the building will make it environmentally friendly, using technologies such as floor-to-ceiling,installing glass to contain day light.It also contains grey water systemand captures rain water and reuses it.The conctete of the building has 55% of cement and 45% of slag.
The use of slag cement reduces damage to the environment by decreasing the amount of cement needed for the building, which in turn lowers the amount of carbon dioxide greenhouse gasproduced through normal cement manufacturing. Bank of America also states that the building will be made largely of recycled and recyclable materials.
Cook fox-Cook+Fox Architects is a New York City studio founded by Rick cook and Robert F.Fox,Jr.in 2003. Cook+Fox is best known for designing the BOAT at One Bryant Park.
Grey water- Greywater is waste water generated from domestic activities such as laundry, dishwashing, and bathing which can be recycled on-site for uses such as landscape irrigation.Greywater composes 50–80% of residential waste water generated from all of the house's sanitation equipment.
